《医学与社会》杂志是经国家科技部批准,由华中科技大学同济医学院主办，在国内外公开发行的学术刊物，是中国科技核心期刊、中国科技论文统计源期刊。《医学与社会》主要刊登医学与人文社会交叉学科方面的文章，可供高、中等医学院校的教师、各级医院的医务工作者和从事医学科学研究、医疗卫生事业的管理工作者阅读。

《医学与社会》创刊于1988年，当时为季刊，刊名为同济医科大学学报（社会科学版）。1994年11月，经国家科技部批准，正式更名为《医学与社会》。1998年，由季刊改为双月刊，2004年，由双月刊改为月刊。2006年7月，开始由同济医学院医药卫生管理学院承办。截止2008年第1期，共刊登稿件3980篇，其中基金资助论文1021篇，287篇论文被收录或转载。2008年6月，《医学与社会》被中国科技论文统计源期刊收录，成为中国科技核心期刊。经过20年的发展，如今《医学与社会》在所属专业领域乃至全国都享有较高的知名度和较好的美誉度，具有较好的社会形象和社会效益。
